How the rankings work

Societies are ranked by how many Instagram likes their posts get for their size.

  1. Add up the likes on every post from the last 60 days.
  2. Newer posts count more. Likes count in full for a post's first 2 weeks, then halve every 2 weeks: half at 4 weeks old, a quarter at 6 weeks, and nothing after 60 days.
100%50%25%0% full weight half quarter not counted new2 wks4 wks6 wks60 days
  1. Divide by followers. The total is divided by the society's followers and shown per 100 followers, so a small society whose posts get a lot of love can beat a big one.

Example: a society with 500 followers gets 200 likes on this week's posts and 100 on a post from 4 weeks ago. Its score is (200 + 100 × ½) ÷ 500 × 100 = 50 likes per 100 followers.

Only societies with a public Business or Creator Instagram account can be ranked, and posts with hidden like counts aren't counted. Accounts with under 100 followers are scored as if they had 100. Updated every morning.

Top 50, updated every morning.

Hi, I'm Armaan!

I'm a 2nd Year BSc AI & Philosophy student at KCL. I'm very interested in AI Safety, Machine Learning, and Startups (I cofounded my first startup the day after my last A Level exam).

I made this website because I noticed I'd always miss society events I wanted to go to since they'd appear on my Instagram feed a day or two after they'd already finished. I noticed a couple people had this problem so I put it up on this website. It works by checking the Instagram posts of all the KCL societies, and then uses AI to figure out what the event is, and at what time, from the pictures societies post about events. It also automatically updates every day as societies continue posting.

Fun fact: this website was made in a single day.

A 3D model of Claudocle: a round glass monocle that clips onto glasses, with a small projector inside
Claudocle

Other than this I work on a bunch of other stuff. One example is "Claudocle". It's a little glass monocle that clips on top of your glasses. Inside it there's a projector for you to see a computer screen inside your glasses. I wanted this so I could have my Claude Code terminal on my glasses wherever I go, since I get a lot of ideas for projects and wanted a way to jump-start a project immediately from wherever I am (so I don't forget the idea), and do complex data analysis on whatever topic from no matter where.

If you have any thoughts of this website feel free to email, and just say hi if you see me around.

Kind regards,
Armaan Naseem
